Castle Rock

This Airbnb in Cape Town is my most recent project and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The spaces are warm, inviting and practical.

The client, who was based in Gauteng for the duration of the project, wanted the apartment to be fully equipped for guests. As a result I sourced everything from the bathmats to the cutlery, the appliances to tea in the kitchen cabinet (decanted into some very nice jars).

I was extremely lucky in that I had quite a lot of freedom in doing this space. I wanted to create a space that reflected Cape Town and its local artisans without alienating guests.
The art is all my original work, the baskets, lighting, and gorgeous dining table are all from ICONOMY, the chairs and mirrors are from Handmade in Malawi and the soft furnishings were a mix of pieces from local designers on Superbalist.com and others.

I am so beyond proud of the outcome. The guest reviews have said that it is an “awesome apartment”, that it “felt like home”, was “cozy” and “relaxing”, with one guest saying that the apartment is “beyond beautiful”
